Bridging The Gaps In Education

Hi, I’m Kasina Boone, running for the school board in Clark County, District B.

I’m a devoted education professional and a proud graduate of Western High School in Las Vegas. I work as a safe school professional at the Peterson Academic Center. I have always been involved in making our community a better place.

I founded the girl’s mentorship organization Teaching and Uniting Ladies to Inspire Positive Success (TULIPS). I serve in other volunteer leadership roles, including with the City of Las Vegas’ My Brother’s Keeper Community Engagement Task Force,  as the Youth Chair for the Las Vegas Chapter of the NAACP, as a lead advisor for the Zeta Archonette Club, and a Parliamentarian for the local and state chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. I am part of the founding leadership team for Ty’s Place, an after-school hangout and mentorship hub for adolescents.

I earned an Associate’s Degree in Special Education from the College of Southern Nevada, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with a concentration in Education, and I’m currently pursuing a graduate degree in Family Science.

I hope I can earn your support for the school board.

I believe passionately in working together for the community good and keeping children and community safe.My opponent recently gained notoriety for the comments you see below. If you believe that we do better when we work for the common good.
